The noticeable points on picking up the Lyte 33 for the first time is the lightweight lower platform, with increased flexibility from heel to toe. The new version Gel-Lyte 33 is Asics neutral lightweight trainer to create better adaption by “mixing up” your running. This is similar to a runner using offroad terrain, or a crossfit athlete varying their exercises each week to create a new stimulus to the muscles and brain and improve strength and balance. The purpose is to “mix up” the running week with a less structured shoe to provide a different stimulus to the body and take away the repetitive impact of using the same shoe. A supportive version is due for release later in the year called the Super J33. The Gel- Lyte 33 v2 is the 2 nd edition to the Lyte 33 range and is designed for the neutral runner. For example, I’ve seen people try to remove important files or directories from sites they don’t control using the tool. Note, I would check this report soon… since you might be surprised what you find there. The new Removals Tool in GSC will also show you “outdated content removal requests” (which were submitted via the public Outdated Content Tool I mentioned earlier! So as a site owner, you can see any content that someone has attempted to remove on your site using the public tool. And if the content is removed behind the scenes, it will remain out of Google’s index, and out of its search results long-term (beyond the six-month temporary removal).Īdding More Confusion To The Removal Tools Situation webpages or images) and you will also see previous requests and the status of those requests.Īgain, this is different from the Removals Tool in GSC, where you can temporarily hide content from the search results from sites you control for six months (while you actually remove the content on your site). In the tool, you can request new removals (e.g. You cannot simply log into the tool and start nuking content from another site when that content still exists. It’s also important to note that the content you are attempting to remove from the search results must have been removed already from the third-party site for this tool to work. And it’s important to understand that it’s different from the Removals tool in GSC. I have used this tool many times over the years when helping clients. It’s a publicly available tool that you can use to request removal of webpages or images ( as long as that content has actually been removed). The Removals Tools in GSC Versus The Outdated Content Toolįirst, I know many people aren’t familiar with Google’s Outdated Content Tool, which has been around for a long time. I’ll walk you through using the Outdated Content Tool to target those images and remove them from the image results. I’ll explain more about that soon.įor this post, I’m going to show you how to remove an image from Google Images, when that image resides on a third-party site (out of your control). On that note, I find there’s a lot of confusion about the various tools Google provides for removals, and how to use them. Well, as long as the image has been removed from the third-party page that contained it, or if the page has been entirely removed from that site, Google provides functionality for quickly removing that image from the search results. And that can result in images hanging around the search results when they really should be removed, which can be extremely frustrating. From an image search standpoint, it can unfortunately lag behind web search for updating and/or removing files. ![]() For example, for times you can’t directly access the third-party site and you can’t access the Google Search Console (GSC) property for the site to use the Removals tool. ![]() Since the sites aren’t under your direct control, your options are limited. For example, profile photos from Twitter, Facebook, images from articles that have been removed, etc. And many times, the images that people want to remove are on third-party sites outside of that person’s control. I’ve received many calls over the years about this very situation. There are times that pesky image search results stick around on Google even when those images have been removed from the web (or at least you think they have been removed from the web). ![]() The given mass of K (4.7 g) is a bit more than one-tenth the molar mass (39.10 g), so a reasonable ballpark estimate of the number of moles would be slightly greater than 0.1 mol. The Periodic Table has constantly been improved and developed over the past 200 years, but in 1869 Dimitri Mendeleev finished the first version of the periodic table as we know it today, by arranging the elements by atomic mass and leaving spaces open for the elements that were not yet discovered. Who invented the Periodic Table of Elements? Molar mass of carbon: 12.01 g/mol Molar mass of hydrogen: 1.008 g/mol Step 4: For each element, multiply its molar mass by the. The Periodic Table of Elements can be used as an assisting tool in chemical calculations, when a specification of an element is needed it is easily found in the Periodic Table. How is the Periodic Table of Elements used? Every hydrogen atom has one proton in its nucleus. Compounds- carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, sulphur trioxide, nitric acid, ethane, acetic acid, sodium carbonate, sulphuric acid, calcium carbonate, hydrogen sulphide. Now, let me recall to you the atomic mass of lithium, sodium and potassium. The main thing I want to tell you is that he arranged these elements in the increasing order of their ATOMIC MASS. Hydrogen, at the upper left of the table, has an atomic number of 1. Answer: ELEMENTS-Boron, carbon, oxygen, iodine, argon, calcium, gold, silver, copper, zinc. Calcium (Ca), strontium (Sr) and Barium (Ba) in other triad and, Chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br) and iodine (I) in other triad. In this table, an elements atomic number is indicated above the elemental symbol. The table lists all the elements that are currently known (118), in descending order of the number of protons that are present, in a single atom of the element. The periodic table (see figure below) displays all of the known elements and is arranged in order of increasing atomic number. As for their unwavering allegiance to a band that went so precipitously downhill within the space of a few short years-by 1977 the GD were reduced to recording the dreadful “France” and “Dancing in the Streets,” that song musicians turn to (just ask Mick Jagger and David Bowie) when they’ve completely run out of ideas-what can one say except that love is blind, and all that extended staring into the sun they did while tripping couldn’t have helped.Īnyway, Workingman’s Dead opens with “Uncle John’s Band,” a song I always felt belonged on American Beauty. I know guys who can tell you precisely which of 986 soundboard recordings of “China Cat Sunflower/I Know You Rider” they like most, and that is both stark raving madness and true love. The murder of Meredith Hunter at the debacle that was Altamont and the Tate-LaBianca murders of the Manson Family-those twin stabs of the knife that put paid to the Age of Aquarius-were still fresh in everybody’s minds, and it couldn’t have lightened the band’s mood that Ron “Pigpen” McKernan, the Dead’s biker-looking blues belter and keyboardist, was drinking himself to death before their eyes.īefore I go on to review the album, I would just like to say I love Deadheads. ![]() Workingman’s Blues has the whiff of the grave about it, as personified by the Dire Wolf-“six hundred pounds of sin”-and “Black Peter,” and death was definitely in the air when the band recorded it. Workingman’s Blues-with its sepia-tinted cover of the band standing on the curb, presumably waiting for day work-also has a much darker vibe than American Beauty, and I could relate to that too. I bought it when I was working at the Littlestown foundry operating a jackhammer-usually with a living death of a hangover-and I could relate to its songs about killing labor, such as “Easy Wind” and “Cumberland Blues,” more than I could to the prettier tunes like “Sugar Magnolia” and “Attics of My Life” off American Beauty. That said, my favorite of the pair is Workingman’s Dead. Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty are both American classics and fecund miracles of concision and profundity, and so much better than what came before and after them that I’m still not convinced they weren’t recorded by aliens who just happened to sound like Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and Company. I love large chunks of 1969’s live Grateful Dead (which the band wanted to call Skull Fuck) and Europe ’72, but my favorite Grateful Dead albums were both released in 1970-namely, those two studio masterpieces, Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty.ĭuring that brief Golden Age the Grateful Dead stopped noodling and wrote some real songs-country-flavored tunes with great pedal steel guitar, crisp melodies, tight playing, and evocative lyrics-and without a single 19-minute noodle-fest between them. The early Dead played a psychedelic soup of the blues and acid-trip-length explorations of inner space, but by the late sixties had tightened things up to become a stellar, if notoriously erratic and self-indulgent, live act. ![]() The Grateful Dead began their career playing Ken Kesey’s Acid Tests, and through their connection with Merry Prankster Neil Cassady bridged the Beat Movement of the Fifties and the Hippie Culture of the Sixties. ![]() Even their famed live shows went downhill-Donna Godchaux, anyone?-as they cycled through keyboardists the way Spın̈al Tap went through drummers and Jerry Garcia gradually dedicated more and more time to his various pharmaceutical side projects. Because it’s a cold hard fact that the Dead were a spent force in the studio by the mid-70s, and definitely dead in the water by the time they released those twin abominations, 1977’s Terrapin Station and 1978’s Shakedown Street. Truth is, I saw the Grateful Dead decades too late. I’d have asked for my money back if I hadn’t seen, with my own eyes, an acid casualty try to snort a Birkenstock. There simply aren’t enough narcotics in the world to make “Drums and Space” anything but torture. One critic wrote of the show I attended, “Pity anyone who actually sat through … with a clear head.” Well, my head was about as clear as stained glass, and it didn’t much matter. They were renowned for their shambolic jams, lethargic grooves, and endless noodling-when I saw them I saw ‘em with Bob Dylan in 1987, they played a version of “Joey” that lasted longer than The War of Jenkin’s Ear. The Grateful Dead: God invented ‘em at the same time he invented the sloth. |
